It’s time to change things up. Two events ago, in Shanghai, we lost a four-shot lead in the final five holes and then failed to win a five-hole sudden-death playoff. We followed the Buick with a BMW finish, where all four of our outrights finished inside the top 10. All FOUR! The next stop on the fall Asia tour takes us 2,000 miles south of Korea to Malaysia for the Maybank Championship. It’s the richest event on the Far East fall schedule, offering $3 million; our winner will receive $450,000. Seventy-eight women are competing in a four-round, no-cut event. We haven’t seen a cut or a full field in seven weeks. I hope new leadership at the LPGA views the product in a similar way the PGA TOUR is evaluating theirs—run great, compelling events, and everything else will take care of itself. Moving on…
